Asthanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga, being a dynamic form of traditional yoga based on breath and movement coordination (vinyasa), is both meditative and physical.

Ashtanga is defined by its coordinated work on breath (ujjayi breathing), drishtis (focused gaze) and bandhas (internal locks), through a unique sequence of postures flowing in a dynamic way.

This practice is a very complete one, easily followed by all, and extremely efficient on the physical, mental, emotional, and nervous levels.

The school

Founded in 2003 by Vanessa Brouillet, Yoga Ashtanga Marseille-Aix offers classes in Ashtanga Vinyasa dynamic yoga, according to Sri K. Patthabi Jois’s teaching (Mysore, India), in Marseille and Aix-en-Provence.

The school also provides Hahta Yoga, Nidra Yoga, prenatal yoga, postnatal yoga (with your baby), children’s yoga classes in order to balance and supplement ashtanga practice, as well as accompany you during all your life steps.
